Description

The Halifax Camerata Singers are proud to share inhale | exhale, the ensemble’s first recording under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Joel Tranquilla. This album is a celebration. Of Camerata’s particular commitment to exploring contemporary Canadian music – this album comprises entirely Canadian composers and arrangers. Of Camerata’s connections with local artists and organizations who – like us – are oriented towards community building and innovative cross-disciplinary collaboration. And of the relationship Camerata has built with Tranquilla through his first two seasons leading the ensemble. The singers, pianist, and conductors have been learning how to be in sync with one another (literally inhaling and exhaling together), with open ears, open minds, and open hearts.
