Rosalie Dowling

Mezzo-soprano Rosalie Dowling (she/her) is a graduate of Bishop’s University (2017) where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Voice Performance. She grew up in Kingston, Nova Scotia, and is now living in Halifax, where she is making her way in the city’s vibrant classical music community. She joined the Halifax Camerata Singers in the Fall of 2017, and she calls First Baptist Church “home” as their Alto section leader. She has previously sung at St. George’s Round Church, Christ Church in Dartmouth, and Nova Scotia Youth Choir in 2018. Rosalie has sung for Opera Nova Scotia’s Spring 2019 production of “The Gondoliers” by Gilbert and Sullivan. She premiered the solo mini-opera “HMCS Halifax ii” by BC-based composer Ashley Seward during Vocalypse Productions’ 2022 Summer Opera Workshop Program: Opera from Scratch.
