Mezzo-soprano Rosalie Dowling is an up-and-coming graduate of Bishop’s University (2017). Rosalie grew up in Kingston, Nova Scotia, and is now living in Dartmouth, where she is quickly making her way in the province’s vibrant classical music community. She joined Halifax Camerata Singers in the Fall of 2017, and is grateful for the opportunity to make music with such talented musicians as a second Soprano. She calls First Baptist Church “home” as their Alto section lead, with Director of Music Lynette Wahlstrom. She sang Alto in the Nova Scotia Youth Choir 2018, and was the Soprano section leader for the Summer 2018 Youth Choir Camp. She has sung at Christ Church Dartmouth for special projects, and she was called upon regularly to supply her voice at St. George’s Round Church for special choral services. Rosalie has most recently sung the role of “Giulia” in Opera Nova Scotia’s Spring 2019 performances of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers. Rosalie contributes to the global online singing community as an editor for Modern Singer Magazine.
