Jill Rafuse

Jill Hemeon Rafuse (she/her) (Alto 2) joined the Halifax Camerata Singers in 2003. A native of Liverpool and a graduate of Mount Allison University, she had a rewarding career in journalism, publishing, and editing before retiring to sit on governance boards, travel, volunteer, and play golf. Jill became a pianist and choral singer after breaking her leg at age six. When living in Ottawa (1983-2003), she sang with the acclaimed Rideau Park Chancel Choir and the Ottawa Bach Choir. A past member of the Camerata Board, Jill is the choir’s program editor. “Tuesday rehearsal is the best night of every week.”
